Garmin continued releasing updates for the 205 and 305 long into the 605 and 705′s existence. I think they are still releasing them now.

I’m a gadget freak, so will probably upgrade to the 800

I suppose with the new 800 just announced, the chances of the 705 issues being remedied is, well, almost nil.
