Ok – like this idea! How do we go about sharing our rotes on here?
Hi Paul,
The site’s still in development just now, but I was pretty frustrated at the speed of the Motionbased site, and I liked the idea of creating something a little faster and more under the control of the users.
So far I’m thinking that I can host the routes on here in either .gpx , .tcx or .crs format. With a quick overview of the route on a map so you know what you’re getting before downloading.
I might have to divide the UK into regions so people can go straight to the routes that are relevant to them.
Let me know what you think!
I think it’s a great idea! I know there are other sites where I can store routes and download as gpx or crs files, but the idea of a site dedicated to this rather than including all the mapping etc that goes with it is great. A no fuss site with easy navigation to areas or routes searchable by keyword (town, village etc) would be my main criteria.
Great, looks like you’re thinking on the same lines as me
